Our Team

TalkWise was established in 2016 with the core focus of providing Mental Health First Aid courses to rural communities where access to training and professional development opportunities of this calibre can be limited. For us it is an opportunity to combine contributing positively to the health and wellbeing of rural and remote communities with our enjoyment of country drives, small towns, and the Australian bush.

Sallyanne Keevers

Accredited Mental Health First Aid Instructor

Hi! My name is Sallyanne and I am an Accredited Mental Health First Aid instructor. I have been instructing the standard MHFA course for three years and I always find delivering this training rewarding because of the positive response it receives from participants. I have experience with mental health challenges in both personal and professional settings and draw upon these experiences to enhance my delivery of the MHFA course. I am excited to have the opportunity to deliver the MHFA training for you.

Dave Hambly

Business Manager and Tea Maker

Hello! My name is Dave and I assist Sallyanne by taking care of the practical tasks associated with organising the Mental Health First Aid courses, such as IT and tea making. Both very important roles. I first participated in the standard Mental Health First Aid training three years ago and my commitment to the value of the training reaches back to my 20 years in the Metropolitan Police in Scotland Yard. Many, many times, both with colleagues and people who called for our assistance, would these basic MHFA skills have been useful in providing assistance and understanding. I see these skills as essential for all of our community no matter what role we have.
